Artist Didier Courbot and landscape architect Stéphanie Courbot founded A1043. The gallery has been open since September 2016. Initially specialising in 20th century lights, one year on the gallery decided to focus on monographic, thematic projects and commissions by contemporary designers. We attach a great deal of importance to the quality of the design and of the manufacturing process for objects without taking the period into account but with a strong tendency to select objects with conceptual and/or sculptural qualities. A1043 sounds like a road name, the name of a plane, or simply a code for a manufactured product or a secret file. We love all these references, all these worlds that provide inspiration.
