George J. Sowden, Rockley vases, Driade editions

George Sowden Rockley_005
Available
2002

We are all familiar with the work of George Sowden since his first radical lamps in the 1970s. His work was then universally recognized in the 1980s when he became part of the famous Memphis group. Since the 1990s, George Sowden has devoted a great deal of time to industrial design. The Rockley series of vases is one of few projects that does not fall within this activity. An outstanding feature of these vases is their great visual strength and sculptural appearance playing with light and shadows. We have the complete collection of five vases. White glazed ceramic.
