If we were a little bolder, we would have already had an Elio Martinelli exhibition. He is known for certain models that were remarkably successful commercially, yet other less prominent productions are just as worthy of attention. The mod. 2183 lamp is one of such items. To begin with it is a very elegant lamp with an extremely sculptural outline. It is also a hugely ingenious lamp the base of which is separate from the main tube. The lamp operates almost like a mobile, requiring little more than a little breeze to sway.
