Martin Szekely, Toro chairs, Néotù editions

DSC03323
Sold
1987

The story goes that this chair model was designed at the hotel during a trip to Barcelona in 1986. Was it in reaction to the spirited and exuberant Movida movement underway in Barcelona? The fact remains that rigour and linearity are essential to this chair. The only curves are those on the sides of the seat resembling bull’s horns. The Toro model is nevertheless a particularly comfortable chair and the efficient design is also very satisfying to look at.
