Nestor Perkal is more than a designer. He was also a gallery owner and director of a company concerning the production and dissemination of know-how related to ceramics. Nestor Perkal knows all about design; he is probably one of the most knowledgeable designers in terms of design and its history. As far as he is concerned design is not his profession, it is his life. Around 1992/1993 he was commissioned for a set of furniture for Lou Fagotin specialised in chestnut furniture. Nestor Perkal therefore designed this pair of lamps as part of the collection Les Rivières. This collection combines simple expertise comprising chestnut tree branches and an equally simple lattice structure. The end result is both rustic and beautifully refined.
