Toshiyuki Kita, Kyo floorlamp, Bilumen editions

Toshiyuki Kita Kyo_001
Sold
1970 / 1982

Toshiyiuki Kita is clearly an important Japanese designer. Kita was one of the first Japanese designers, after Kazuhide Takahama in the 1960s, to go to Italy at the start of the 1970s. Working on different types of projects, Kita became famous from the 1980s onwards when he worked for the brand Cassina. In the 1970s the Kyo lamp was produced by IDK in Japan then from 1982 by the Italian Brand Bilumen. It is made of mino washi paper. Our version is in very good condition, and the paper is impeccable. Kyo brings a soft and delicate oriental touch to an interior.
